Parent’s Right to Know©

In accordance with the requirement of Federal law, if the School receives Title I funds the School shall notify all parents that they may request, and the School will provide in a timely manner, the following information on the student’s classroom teachers:Ìý

  1. whether the teacher(s) have met the State requirements for certification or licensure for the grade levels and subject areas in which they teach;
  2. whether the teacher(s) is teaching under any emergency or provisional status through which the State requirements have been waived;
  3. whether the teacher(s) is teaching in the field of discipline of their certification; and
  4. whether any paraprofessionals are providing services to their child(ren) and the qualifications of those paraprofessionals, where applicable.

In addition, the parents shall be provided:Ìý

  1. information on the level of achievement and academic growth of their child(ren), if applicable and available, on the required State academic assessments; and
  2. timely notice if the student is assigned to, or has been taught for more than four (4) consecutive weeks by, a teacher who does not meet applicable State requirements at the grade level and subject area in which the teacher has been assigned.

Child Find2

The School supports and complies with all applicable federal and state laws, procedures, and policies regarding the School’s child find responsibilities.Ìý The School will conduct all child find activities for students who are enrolled in the School (its geographical area) so that they are appropriately located, identified and referred for evaluation.Ìý Parents or guardians have the right to review their child’s records and refuse permission to release information (except as required by, or permitted by, law to be released).ÌýÌýÌý

Pursuant to Ohio law, the School is required to perform the same child find duties as city, local, exempted village school districts and will endeavor to adhere to its responsibilities in a manner that does not duplicate the duties of the city, local, or exempted village school districts.ÌýÌýÌý

A Child Find Notice shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the geographic area covered by the identification activity before any major identification activity.

Graduation Requirements

Students in the classes of 2023 and beyond must meet three key components to graduate: (1) Course Completion, (2) Competency Demonstration, and (3) Readiness Demonstration. In addition to these three key components, students must also meet state graduation test requirements to graduate.

Course Completion

Ohio students must complete a minimum of 20 units, with specific units required in each content area. Given ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ’s college for all mission, our students will not only meet these course requirements, but graduate with 27+ units. Below is an outline of ×ÔÒùϵÁÐ’s graduation plan which outlines what high school courses students will take 8th – 12th grade.
